Cameron Johns – I am ecstatic to be at MGM this year and to be a Gator. I grew up in the suburbs of Greenville, SC and attended Mauldin High School. After high school, I pursued my degree in Secondary Education/English from the wonderful Clemson University.      My husband’s career has relocated us several times since we first married, but 10 years ago, we moved to Lexington, and we have grown to love this area. This is my 17th year teaching middle school, the last 9 years were spent in Lexington One at Gilbert Middle School.      My husband and I have been married 17 years and have two beautiful children, Cooper Johns, 8th grade, and Parker Marie, who just started Kindergarten at MGES. Cooper is a Gator football player and runs track. Parker Marie is still figuring out what she likes to do.      As a family, we enjoy spending time at the beach, specifically St. Augustine, Florida, where our family has a home. We also enjoy sports very much and during the fall, you will find us at all the Clemson home games, cheering on the tigers, or in our living room cheering, when the game is away.      I personally enjoy reading, spin class, dancing, and spending time with my family. I’ve been a Gator parent for two years now and I am thrilled to join the MGM staff and to work with all of your children.

When I am not at school, I enjoy travelling, listening to live music, and spending quality time with my family and friends. One of my favorite places to visit is Lake Lure in North Carolina because I love the serenity of the mountains.
