Laura Lee Stockdell – Stockdell – Laura Lee Stockdell (Director of School Counseling and Advisement) Mrs. Stockdell serves as the 8th grade counselor and is excited to begin her 32nd year in education. She received her BA in Education and Masters in School Counseling from the University of South Carolina and is a former math and encore teacher before beginning her career as a school counselor. Mrs. Stockdell is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Global Career Development Facilitator, and a National Board Certified Teacher/Counselor. Davis Myers – (6th grade counselor) Ms. Myers is the 6th Grade School Counselor at MGM. She is from Spartanburg, SC. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University. She received her Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education with specialization in School Counseling along with a Career Development Facilitator certificate from the University of South Carolina. She loves any outside activities including tennis, hiking, water sports, and visiting the beach and lake with family and friends! She is very excited about this school year and being the 8th grade counselor!

 

Dominique Sawyer – Ms. Sawyer is the 7th Grade School Counselor at MGM. She is from Darlington, SC. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology and her Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education with specialization in School Counseling; both from the University of South Carolina. She is a Gamecocks and sports fanatic! Her hobbies include watching/analyzing sports, traveling and spending time with her family especially her mom and almost 14 year old Shih Tzu, Millie. She is very excited about this school year! Goooo Gators!

 

Amy LongAmy Long –  (School Counselor) Mrs. Long is starting her eighth year as a school counselor, and has been fortunate enough to be in Lexington 1 since she began her career.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College and her Educational Specialist degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina.  She is certified as a school counselor for grades K-12.   Mrs. Long loves to be outside playing with her family (husband, two little kids, and big goofy dog).  She loves to cook, travel, and spend time at the beach.  Mrs. Long is very excited to be back at MGM, this year working Monday mornings, and all day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  You can reach her at aalong@lexington1.net or 821-0619.
