Caroline Butcher

Hi there! I'm Mrs. Butcher, and I am an artist and an art teacher. This is my fifteenth year teaching. I graduated from Lexington High School, attended Appalachian State University as a forensic chemistry major, then got my BFA in art education from The University of South Carolina. My studio concentration is drawing, but I love all art media. I love to draw close-up, scientific objects from the natural world. I also love learning, and wish I could teach every core subject.

I live with my husband, our two young sons, a black pug named June, and a chameleon named Fern. I love reading, football, chemistry, soccer, cooking, the mountains, and rainbows. I love giving back to the community that raised me and working with our awesome students, families, and community! I hope my classroom is a place where all students feel loved and appreciated. Everyone is welcome in the art room!
